Mississippi Roast Chicken Barbecue Style

1 frying chicken cut in pieces
1/4 cup butter
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon red pepper
1 teaspoon black pepper
3/4 tablespoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon chili powder
2 tablespoons vinegar
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup water
1 tablespoon chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced

Salt chicken, but do not flour. Brown in butter. Put in roasting pan. Mix all ingredients. Cook sauce 4 or 5 minutes. Pour over chicken. Bake while basting very often. Oven temperature 325 degrees for 1-1/2 hours.  Serves 2.
